Sabetha Belacoros, from 'The Lies of Locke Lamora' series.
Okay, okay, so she hasn't been introduced as of yet. But I'm intrigued by her character already. AND this series needs more fan love I wanted to make her beautiful and coy ('queen of all the charmers who ever lived' ) but very intense (she's Locke's rival in wit and it's mentioned that she's not very humble). I hope I suceeded somewhat
It's very sketchy; I really want to do a background... I may still do.
Amazing! Almost exactly how I picture her - I just picture her hair more curly... like corkscrews. But this is so cool! The face reminds me a bit of Natasha Bedingfield. Very pretty! Sabetha rules, I cannot wait for her to be introduced!
I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET SABETHA. Lol. I'm seriously DYING waiting for the third book. I'll probably do another Sabetha fanart at some point... even though we haven't met her yet

I totally know what you mean! She must have been something effing fantastic to have captivated someone as, um, special as Locke Lamora...I was so pleased when the blurb for Republic was (leaked?) posted on the internetz. Looks like she's finally going to have a huge role...and I will at long last have an answer to my question: did Sabetha refer to herself as a lady bastard?
LOL OMG I TOTALLY ASK MYSELF THAT QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!! She'll either not care or when they say, 'We're the Gentlemen Bastards', she'll say 'And the Lady Bastard'. Or maybe they changed their name after she left? Because Chains hadn't named them in Lies, had he? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!! I'm intrigued by the rivallry aspect of their relationship, ooh, and the plays!!!
Gad I'm excited.

Yeah, me too! There really is sooo much SL just hasn't told us about the early years of the Gentlemen Bastards...I love the idea of "Lady Bastard" but I should imagine you're right, it's just a thing they dreamed up after Chains died. I have a feeling that some of the interaction between her and Locke will be really side-splittingly hillarious...ah I really cannot wait! I wonder what she's been doing with herself the years they've been apart. If I were her I would totally have started a new gang and set myself up as the garrista. So maybe we'll see some more new characters, which would be awesome. I hope SL tries to make the females slightly more indevidual this time though...almost all his girls are tough-girl characters, which is cool, but it would be refreshing if there was more variety.

Lol I really love these books way too effing much. Locke Lamora rocks my socks. Yay!
I imagine Sabetha to be very headstrong, intelligent and devious - but she can put on the girly/helpless act in an instant.
I reckon she's got a passion for plays, and after years of failed wooing Locke decides to delve into the acting business to impress her
AND YES!!! I think she's a garrista as well But I reckon the bondsmage have blackmailed her into helping them, so we wont really see her gang. Maybe she'll have to chose between Locke's life and her own?
GAH HURRY UP SL YOU'RE KILLING US AAAALLLL!!!!! We'll have to wait and see *sigh*
