Summer is drawing to an end, which is kinda lame because I don't like being cold. BUT I love autumn/fall colours.

FINALLY. 
I honestly didn't think it would get done. Evar. But it is. My Final Fantasy IX doujinshi, The Conch Shell, is fini.
I just have to finish up the cover. And pray that the winzip thing I downloaded *cough*totallylegally*cough* will actually work.
So... don't expect anything professional. It was just for fun. Because I love the game THAT MUCH. I wont be charging anything for it, because doujinshi should be free for everyone to enjjoooyyy.
But if you want to regard commenting, favouriting and spreading the word as payment, I wont stop you.
There are a number of colourful mistakes scattered throughout the pages, such as, why IS there a conch shell on a cliff in an area that clearly isn't tropical anyway? But I'd appreciate it if you didn't point them out. ^^ It's also the most fast paced thing you'll probably ever read; it should've been triple the page count it is, but you know me: L.A.Z.Y. ...And I didn't want it to become a chore.
What's also weird is that you can see my style change throughout the doujin, 'cause I started it about a year and a half ago. But I really couldn't face redrawing pages.
Anyway, it's been fun and I'm considering doing another, though this time I'll just do it by hand. Good lord, drawing it straight into photoshop was the worst idea EVAR.

Points of Interest

Just thought I'd, y'know, update my life status, if it pleases the interwebz. Need I say, yay summer?
For those who are wondering: My slow-moving project of fun, 'The Conch Shell', a Final Fantasy 9 doujinshi (or whatever you wanna dub it) is ALMOST finished. Like, five pages away - if that. I'm excited about getting it done. (If you missed the memo check back a few journal entries).
As for my summer so far, it's been a hustlin'. Went straight from uni to Oxford, then went home for a few days then jumped on a plane and boat respectively, and visited the following points of interest:
Sardinia, an island that belongs to Italy. I love Mediterranean architecture.
Pompeii, Italy. You should know the history. Volcano go boom, people got cocooned within the ask, city got destroyed. The ruins are beautiful though, and it's a place I'd always wanted to visit.
Toulon, France. Southern France, that is. I'm more of an Italy fan, but this place was pretty too.
Both of the above, Barcelona. I'm def going back there, good lord that's one fashionable and beautiful city. First pic is of the sweet section in the famous food market. I think I went blind looking at those colours, dayum. And the bottom one is of one of the many fantastic street preformers lining Las Ramblas. He had a gold partner too. They were pretty scary, but so awesome - though I don't know how they put up with the heat.
Annndddd now I'm back in rainy ol' England. Home sweet home. I've been slacking on the drawing front... I'll be posting some shizzle over the next few days. AND I'll be getting The Conch Shell finished within the month, I hope.

(Oh, and congrats to Spain for winning the football. You deserved it! While we deserved what we got... *hangs head in shame and wishes for Beckham*)

Me, me, me.

I wanted to do one of those question/answer things that float around DA, but I find them kinda tedious nowadays, so here's a short page of random stuff about me, me, me.
- I'm double jointed at the knees.
- A parrot attacked me once. It tore a chunk of skin off my neck. I haven't liked them since.
- I take dreams very seriously.
- I've come to accept the fact that I'll never grow out of watching cartoons.
- I used to hide my nerdy obsessions and hobbies out of embarrassment. Now, I couldn't care less what people think about them.
- I'm renowned for being 'blunt' when speaking to people.
- I'm not scared of insects, snakes or rodents.
- I love the ocean and all its inhabitants, primarily sharks.
- I'm terrified of sharks, and suffer panic attacks when I swim in the sea.
- I haven't eaten meat or fish in eleven years; I wont preach my beliefs to you.
- I hate preachers.
- I treasure different cultures, no matter how brutal or mystifying they may be.
- I wish I had more money.
- I wish I didn't care about money.
- I adore travelling, and I don't get homesick, but I miss
England when I go away, and for the life of me I don't know why. It's a bit of a shit hole, really.
- I wish society wasn't so bound by unspoken rules, like how it's seen as inappropriate to skip down a street when the whim takes you, or how it's frowned upon to not wear shoes.
- I wish I could walk barefoot everywhere.
- I wish they'd put all the additives and colouring back into sweets. I don't want my sweets to actually contain fruit; if I did, I'd go eat some fruit.
- I don't cry easily.
- I wish Jack Daniels wasn't so expensive.
- I have a massive crush on Ewan McGregor.
- I have a crush on any guy with a good motorbike.
- I don't mind the sight of other people's blood, but if it's my own, I'll straight up pass out.
- I have a scar across the back of my left hand courtesy to a rabbit that scratched me when I was five years old. He's lucky he was cute.
- I am not religious.
- I can't cook, though I really wish I could.
- I laugh at silly little things that I'm probably way too old to be laughing about.
- I laugh at LOLcats.
- I laugh at epics fails, especially when they involve people falling over.
- I laugh at the 'o rly?' owl and the 'ya rly' owl. Every time.
- I love intelligent people.
- I hate know-it-alls.
- I love cheap thrills, like driving fast when you know you wont get caught, or leaning that inch too far over a railing, or crazy-ass rollercoasters.
- My favourite slang word is 'bromance'.
- I don't think swear words are bad. They're only bad when they're directed negatively at someone.
- I love that weird laughter that comes out when you're laughing so hard your sides hurt and your eyes water, the laugh that even you don't recognise but it feels hella good to let it out once in a while, even if it makes you sound a bit crazy.
- You know I'm pissed with you when I call you 'babe'.
- I hate the sound of my alarm clock in the morning.
- I dig guys with tattoos
- I dig girls with tattoos
- I've lost count of how many times I've played FFIX, yet I still manage to discover something new every time I play it.
- I don't smoke.
- I love big trees.
- When I was sixteen I ran into Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter. Her brother lived up the road from me in a fucking huge mansion. They were walking their dogs down a country lane and my dad and me were cycling. It was my dad who recognised them but he only mentioned it after they were long gone, and it would have seemed a bit weird to cycle after them. To this day, I've never forgiven myself for not speaking to them.
